FAQ
  • Where are the kits?
Ah. Right. The kits. We're working on that. We acquired Crystal River Products from Tom Fitzgerald in July. Tom had operated the business for 20 years and knew the plans and his equipment through and through. Turns out, it takes a little time to do this whole "carving with a laser" thing. We're getting close! We expect to bring our first kit back to production in the Spring of 2019. This will be a typical D&RGW coal shed, found on the grounds of most of their stations and section towns and used to supply coal for building and caboose stoves. It's a neat little kit with loads of personality. After that, we'll bring the rest of the Crystal River Products catalog back online one kit at a time. Please view the list and let us know which you'd like to see first!
  • Will you design new kits, or just re-release the classics?"
We'll start with the CRP classics. We'll make new kits, too—but it'll be a while. We need to walk before we can run, and we need to run before we can sprout wings and fly. Rand has the design chops to create new kit plans, and Seth knows which end of a computer to use. Between us, we'll make great stuff. But first things first: we need to get the full catalog back online.
